The Salzburg regional group introduces itself ...

April 12, 1980 - when it all began!

Dipl. Ing. Günter Daghofer and Baroness Mayr-Melnhof founded the Austrian Retriever Club with 31 members in Salzburg. Initially divided into the areas East, Central and West, the Austrian Retriever Club already had almost 1,000 members in 1995 - time to found individual regional groups.

In March 1995 Carola Czerwenka was elected the first regional group leader in Salzburg. Karin Schönlieb took over the Salzburg regional group in the second half of 1997. At that time there was already a separate training place in Maria Plain, and the Pongau training center was founded in 2016. With the regional group election in May 2019, Alois Russegger followed as the new regional group leader Karin Schönlieb, who headed the Salzburg regional group for 22 years.

On October 21, 2020, Councilor Wolfgang Ragitsch took over the management of the regional group on an interim basis.

Seit 21. Februar 2022 leitet Manuel Mühringer die Landesgruppe.

We are looking forward to your visit!
