The Lower Austria Regional Group offers you the following courses

Puppy course

In the puppy course the basis for the further life of the dog is taught. In the training we concentrate on imparting the necessary knowledge to the dog handler so that he can train his dog himself. In the puppy course, the ongoing training steps are explained, the training progress is checked and, if necessary, readjusted. Since the puppies develop very quickly, the puppy course is divided into WEP I and WEP II in order to ensure a similar level of performance in the groups.

Theoretical, attention, bonding, body coordination, visiting the vet, coming, sitting and taking place, being on a leash, retrieving, socializing.

Young dog course

In young dog lessons, the contents of the puppy course are built on and these are consolidated or expanded.

Attention, obedience, free heeling, retrieval, individual marking, steadyness.

Fetch

In the retrieving course the foundation stone is laid for later, more difficult retrieval tasks.

Retrieve single mark, double marks, memories, forward, instruct, search (small search + lost), walkup, Instruction under distraction, standing, water work

One for all (EFA)

Diverse elements of subordination, work & fun are combined here.
For everyone who cannot (or does not want to) choose between obedience training and retriever training, but also does not want to attend two courses.

Therapy dog training

A therapy dog team consists of a dog and its handler (HF) *). Both have certain basic requirements. The dog should be healthy, predominantly people-oriented, non-aggressive and resilient. This can be both a pedigree dog and a mixed breed. Age also plays a subordinate role. The handler should have a "social streak" and be empathetic towards people with disabilities, sick or lonely people. The handler should enjoy working with his dog and be willing to spend time and energy on it.

Perhaps you already have a job in the social field, for example as a teacher, carer for the elderly or sick or with children with disabilities and want to train your dog as an "employee". Then this training can help you to properly integrate your dog in your job. Or you just want to bring joy into the gray everyday life of these people with your dog and would like to visit these institutions with your dog.

Popular sport

Popular sport is - similar to agility - a sport in which the dog handler and dog have to cope with tasks together, which are evaluated according to a point system. With popular sport you optimally combine training, play and fun, both for just for fun or for international competitions.

Rally obedience

Imagine an agility course, but instead of the obstacles, use signs with symbols that describe what to do. The course has to be completed in footwork, with a margin of 30 cm. So there is no "Pattex foot-walking" required like in classic obedience. The aim is for the human-dog teams to master the course, which consists of an average of 20 stations, as quickly and without errors as possible. The nice thing about the RallyO is that this dog sport is suitable for practically all dogs, regardless of their age, size, performance level etc. and for all people. The fun of working and working together and the joyful development of the basic commands that the signs symbolize are absolutely in the foreground.

Mantrailing

Mantrailing is the search for people using working dogs called mantrailers or person tracking dogs. The dogs' excellent sense of smell is used.

The difference between a mantrailer and other search dogs is that the mantrailer can distinguish between different human smells when searching and, despite many temptations, is based exclusively on the olfactory characteristics of the person being searched for
