WORKING TEST CUP

In the following you will find the regulations of the ÖRC Working Test Cup. The best dog of a working test season is to be awarded here. The Working Test Cup is awarded in the course of the Working Test Final of the respective year. If you have any questions, our Working Test speaker is always happy to help!

You can get the results of the previous years as well as the current interim status by clicking on the desired year in the selection column on the left.

1. Rated are rounded up 50 % of the working tests that were organized by the ÖRC within a calendar year. The best results achieved in these working tests are used for the calculation.

Example: 7 working tests were held in one year. Since it is rounded up, the best 4 results count

2. The point system remains. The table below shows how many points are counted per class and result. An additional point is awarded for each victory.

Points system:

ratingPoints beginnerPoints novicePoints Open
excellent567
very good456
Well345
passed234
VICTORY+1+1+1

3. The ranking takes place
- First and foremost according to the sum (according to the table of points) of the best results of rounded up 50 % of the working tests that were organized by the ÖRC within a calendar year.
- Then according to the total points that were achieved in all working tests in one season.

4th exception:
If there is a tie for first place, the total points as described in point 3 do not count. In the event of a tie, whoever has the most points in total wins. If there is also a tie, most of the top 3 placements will count.

5. Additionally there will be a race evaluation.

We congratulate Nicolett Szendrei with her Labrador Retriever "Blackthorn Hiram" on winning the 2013 ÖRC Working Test Cup.

I have had dogs as family dogs since 1986. I started working for a Golden Retriever breeder veterinarian 20 years ago, and that's how I entered the life of dogs.

I went to dog shows almost every weekend and worked as the secretary of the Hungarian Retriever Club that was founded at the time, so I was actively involved in the organization. Training, camps, dog events, competitions - all of these mean my hobby, for which I spend my free time in the retriever teams.

In addition to two Goldens, I also had Cocker Spaniels, and even imported a Springer Spaniel male from Holland in 1997. He became the founder of our jumping family. The Springers have achieved great success at shows all over Europe, and together with the Cocker and Golden bitch acquired 7 Interchampion titles.

I did the work test with all spaniels and always trained together with retriever friends.

In 2009 I got closer to retrieving work with Hiram my Labrador again. When I spent the time in the "Blackthorn Kennels", I learned a lot from the retrievers. Thank you, everyone who helped me. It was very easy for me with Hiram. As a little boy he was very smart, learned quickly and understood everything immediately.

We solved all the tasks with a lot of play, patience and joy, so Hiram became more and more self-confident in his work. If sometimes everything didn't go as I imagined, we solved the problem together.

So we have become a well-functioning team.

Nicolett Szendrei

We congratulate Martina Schrattenecker with her Labrador Retriever bitch "Quess of Lubberland" to victory at the ÖRC Working Test Cup 2012.

I got to know the dummy work five years ago with my first Labrador bitch Dina and was already very fascinated by the skills and enthusiasm of the dogs when I attended the first training sessions.
After the sudden and unexpected death of Dina, I became more intensively involved with work lines and finally became aware of Leah (Quess of Lubberland).

Leah's great talent soon became apparent, although her over-zeal and speed at work often presented me with challenges, especially at the beginning, and at the time I sometimes doubted whether I could do this dog justice.

As a result, we repeatedly attended dummy training sessions and with each training session I got really valuable tips, learned a lot and, above all, had a lot of fun and enjoyed working with dogs in nature. I would therefore like to take this opportunity and thank all the organizers and trainers!

Leah is now four years old and has developed into an absolutely reliable and constant partner. This year's first open season, in which we achieved very good results without exception and were able to win the Working Test Cup, has so far been the highlight of our journey together.

I am very much looking forward to the years to come and the things that lie ahead and I am really grateful for the friends I have made through this beautiful hobby and especially for my dream dog, who accompanies me every step of the way!

Final result of the Working Test Cup 2011

We congratulate Wolfgang Diglas with his Golden Retriever male "Jury vom Goldberg" to win the ÖRC Working Test Cup 2011:

Jury actually came into the house as a family dog for my daughter Lara. At Herbert Steinschaden's dog school, we completed our basic training and had our first experiences with the dummy.
I met Wolfgang Harrer during a working test. Due to the strong competition in the training group and the training tailored to each dog, we made rapid progress and the jury was able to pass its first open working test after a short time.
It didn't take too long to win the first time either.
Success in field trials, team working tests, IWT and finally victory in the Workintest Cup followed. I am particularly happy about this, as it documents the reliability of the jury over the entire season.
But apart from the final that follows, this is the high point and the end of Jury's working test career. From now on he will enjoy hunting and his pension.

I would really like to thank everyone who has accompanied us on our training and competition path. Especially with my wife and daughter, who have always supported and cheered me on. - Wolfgang Diglas
