OBEDIENCE AND ACCESS TEST (GAP)

The obedience and retrieval test ("GAP" for short) enables a breed-appropriate training and utilization of our retrievers, especially in the companion dog area. It is designed in such a way that some of the exercises can be practiced on the training site and some in the open area. In addition to the required basic obedience, the "three fetch" are learned - marking, searching and instructing.

This test offers the possibility - as the individual tasks are described in detail in the examination regulations - to practice step by step with the retriever. The "International Running Scheme" is also included, a simplified version of which can already be learned for the BH-VT.

The individual exercises are clearly presented in sketches that can be found at the end of the examination regulations.

The obedience and retrieval test is offered as follows:

Level 1: Obedience exercises and retrieving in an easy level of difficulty
Level 2: obedience exercises and retrieving in medium difficulty
Level 3: Fetching with a high degree of difficulty in open terrain

Tournaments can also be held here. The examination regulations then only serve as a guide. The sequence of exercises can vary and can also be adapted to the existing terrain.
