THE BREEDING and Registration Regulations

The breeding and registration regulations of the ÖRC (ZEO) regulate the breeding of the retriever breeds (FCI standard no .: 110, 111, 121, 122, 263, 312) for the territory of the Republic of Austria. These breeding regulations are based on the breeding and registration regulations (ZEO) of the Austrian Association of Cynologists (ÖKV) and the international breeding regulations of the Federation Internationale Cynologique (FCI) as well as the applicable Austrian animal protection and animal husbandry regulations. The ZEO is also applicable to all breeders, even if they are not members of the ÖRC, as well as to all breeding processes on the basis of which the establishment of the Austrian Dog Breeding Book (ÖHZB) is used.
The declared breeding goal is health, standard retriever breeds, typical character and productivity.

Please keep yourself up to date with the current breeding regulations. You can find these on the ÖRC website under “Downloads” or you can request them from one of the ÖRC breed warden or the ÖRC office.
If you have any questions about the breeding and registration rules of the ÖRC, our breed warden will be happy to help you at any time!
